Our Starting Point — Denim & Workwear
Our interest began with denim and workwear: the texture of the fabric, the purpose behind the details, and the character that develops over time.
Selvedge denim drew us closer to the relationship between clothing and its wearer. The same fabric takes on different marks, fades and shapes depending on the person living in it. That sense of individuality remains at the heart of RGDENIM.
A Broader Appreciation
Over time, our appreciation of heritage clothing has grown to include motorcycle style, military garments and British country wear.
Each brings something to the wardrobe: the silhouette of a leather jacket, the useful details of a military garment, or the textures and layers of country clothing.
We are especially interested in how these influences come together. The same jeans can sit beneath a leather jacket, a military overshirt or a country coat. A change in layers, texture or proportion gives familiar clothes a different feeling.
